Polished fossil stromatolite slab. Asperia ashburtonia. ASP139 rare agate Weighs 434 gramsASP139. Fossil stromatolite slab, polished on one side. Asperia ashburtonia from the Proterozoic "Duck Creek Dolomite". Unusual colouration caused by natural iron oxide weathering. Age is approx. 2 billion years. From near Paraburdoo in Western Australia. Approx. 150mm x 85mm, 7mm thick. It weighs 175 grams.
