Gaze into Your Eyes III - Large Product:Medium an abundance of hand-built ceramic

an abundance of hand-built ceramic disks dance upon waves of copper

Inspired by Mary Oliver's poem "When I Am Among The Trees"

creating lyrical adornments with elegant flowing beauty

Iridescent fumed glass "leopard" patterned pumpkin

the energy spent forming it is permanently captured in form and texture

Gaze into Your Eyes III - Large Product:Medium an abundance of hand-built ceramicThis mixed media piece features an original photograph printed with archival pigment inks on cotton printmaking paper; artist Yukoi Ishii then highlights the image with colored pencils to create a painterly effect and affixes the print to a cradled wood panel with non toxic adhesive. She then coats the piece with wax to give the image a translucent quality, paints the sides of the board black, and finishes it with a clear protective acrylic. Signed
